Our inaugural One And Only Book Launch party, held Wednesday night, June 17, was a roaring success. Our estimations are that approximately 175 people attended the two-hour event at the Hilton Garden Inn on River Road in Des Plaines, Ill. Lots of hardcover books were sold to Chicago area people eager to learn about Ohio State great Charles “Chic” Harley.
Special thanks goes to all the helpers who volunteered their time to set up the audio/visual equipment, 15 to 20 Chic Harley photos and images, the book table and to those who actually took book orders. A special thank you also to the Hilton Garden Inn—in particular Christina Sindorf, sales manager—for providing the beautiful setting, refreshments and help the night of the event.
